My Last Eurotrip

It all started when I posted a tbt photo of my friend Abby and I from the last time she visited me in Rome. She commented on the post saying that she wanted to come visit before I left the city at the end of the year. She spontaneously bought a flight and we began to plan our last eurotrip as college students. Deciding on the famous German Christmas markets as our destination, we choose both Munich and Berlin as cities to explore.

She arrived in Rome and we spent a few days there. She’s been to Rome twice before, but loves it, so we did the typical comprehensive tour over a three day period. Needless to say my feet were killing me by the end, but I was happy that I managed to do it all one last time:

We also took a half day trip to Florence to see my uncle Rick as he was there on a business trip:

And finally we were off to Germany! Munich was breathtaking. We stuffed ourselves with pretzels, bratwursts and gluhwein for three days before taking off for Berlin. Unfortunately, Abby got food poisoning the day we arrived so we didn’t end up seeing much during that half of the trip. Thankfully a friend of hers from SCAD and his friend from Munich drove up to be our tour guides for the one day she was feeling better! From what I saw, Berlin is a beautiful city and I would absolutely love to go back – but maybe in the summer because BRRRRR was it cold!

So, on to new adventures. I graduated from JCU in December and have officially moved to Dubai where I am looking for work. I am so grateful for this opportunity and am looking forward to all that 2017 will bring. Stay tuned, and happy new year! 🙂
